<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size, weight and cost of a device by satisfactorily performing an amplifying processing by an automatic gain control circuit without using a delay line. <P>SOLUTION: This radar device comprises a modulator 2 modulating a transmitting power with a pulse code obtained by a pulse code generation circuit 21; an IF amplifier 8 amplifying, after transmitting and receiving this modulation signal, the intermediate frequency signal of the received signal; and an AGC circuit 11 controlling the gain of the IF amplifier 8. In the pulse code generation circuit 21, a pulse train with a preceding pulse added to the pulse code at a time early by a time T considering the response time of the AGC circuit 11 is generated, and the microwave power is modulated with this pulse train. According to this, since the AGC circuit 11 is operated early by the time T by the preceding pulse, the natural pulse code train of the received signal can be amplified with a properly adjusted gain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
