PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively and securely subjecting a metallic body having an open hole(s) to HIP (hot isostatic pressing) treatment. SOLUTION: The treatment method for a metallic body having an open hole(s) is provided with: a first process wherein, into a metallic vessel storing glass granulates, a metallic body having an open hole(s) with a hole size smaller than the particle diameter of the glass granulates is buried, and the metallic vessel is sealed; and a second process wherein temperature and pressure are allowed to act from the circumference of the sealed metallic vessel, and hot isostatic pressing is performed thereto. The second process comprises a solid treatment stage and the subsequent melt treatment stage. In the solid treatment stage, hot isostatic pressing is performed at a temperature lower than the working point temperature of the glass granulates to≥500°C under pressure of 10 to 80 MPa.
