<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, an image projection device, an image processing method and a program capable of detecting a movement of an image accurately. <P>SOLUTION: A photographed image projection device calculates a temporal variation Rn (u, v) of image data by taking the difference between pixel data Qn (u, v) at this time and pixel data Qn-1 (u, v) at last time, and calculates a spatial variation Mn by taking the difference between a temporal variation Rn (u+1, v) and a temporal variation Rn (u, v). The photographed image projection device calculates an image variation MD by taking the total of the spatial variation Mn.
