INKJET RECORDING MEDIUM AND INKJET RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium which generates an image giving a feel of transparency and a subdued glitter when an image is recorded using a pigmented ink and an inkjet recording method.

SOLUTION: The inkjet recording medium has a monodisperse particle layer in which a monodisperse particle with a particle diameter of 0.1 to 0.6 μm is uniformly present, especially a monodisperse particle layer containing a fine particle of 1 to 200 nm and a binder, formed in a lower layer influencing a surface layer or a first surface. In addition, the medium has a surface with an unevenness of 0.1 to 0.6 μm in height and 0.1 to 2.5 μm in period.
