<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive unit having excellent rigidity, vibration absorbency, and temperature stability, and also to provide a lens barrel. <P>SOLUTION: The drive unit includes a stator 17 having a piezoelectric element 8 excited by a drive signal and an elastic element 10 connected to the piezoelectric element 8 to generate an oscillatory wave on a drive surface by the excitation, a moving element 12 having a sliding surface brought under pressure into contact by the drive surface of the elastic element 10, an output transfer member 9 for transmitting the output of the moving element 12, and a supporting frame 31 for supporting rotatably the stator 17, the moving element 12 and an output transfer member 9 to a mounting part 20. In the drive unit, the supporting frame 31 has a first frame 4 engaged with the mounting part 20, and a second frame 3 connected to the first frame 4, having different rigidity and vibration transfer characteristic from the first frame 4 and separate from the mounting part 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
