<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a catalyst enabling precise design at molecular level, stable under various reaction conditions, exhibiting high activity compared with conventional technology and having excellent recovering and reusing properties and provide a method for producing an organic compound in high efficiency by using the catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: An organic compound is produced by using a catalyst formed by fixing a metal complex on the surface of a silicon carrier through a stable chemical bond.
