PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device automatically optimizing a gap of a steering wheel and a driver when steering auxiliary force is reduced on the midway of steering and capable of easily performing steering to steering limit. SOLUTION: A steering wheel movement mechanism 40 moves a steering wheel 2 such that the gap of the steering wheel 2 and the driver is varied. A steering auxiliary force control means 20 reduces the steering auxiliary force by satisfaction of the steering suppressing condition. A gap control means 20 controls the steering wheel 2 movement mechanism 40 such that the steering wheel 2 approaches to the driver at reduction of the steering auxiliary force by satisfaction of the steering suppressing condition.
