PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce losses in the frequency domain with respect to characteristics improvement on the time axis.
SOLUTION: A rectangular wave S11 defining the range of a weight function is converted into the frequency domain by FFT 11 or the like, is multiplied by a window function S12 (the Blackman-Harris window or the like) generated on the frequency axis by a multiplier 12, and is then returned to the time domain by IFFT 13 or the like to generate a weight function S13. The thus obtained weight function, since signal processing losses has been improved, has steep rise and decay on the time axis to reduce losses to a few percent. Effective window functions, other than the Blackman-Harris window, include the Hamming window, the Hanning window, the Gauss window, and the Flat-Top window.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
|
