PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat cable for flexibly wiring.

SOLUTION: The cable is composed of a signal line; a flexible thin dielectric sheet formed so as to embed the signal line; two ground layers separately disposed with each other by holding the sheet in a thickness direction and extending in parallel with a length direction of the signal line; and an insulating body covering the ground layers so that the ground layers are not exposed. The cross-sectional dimensions of the signal line, and the thickness, specific dielectric constant or the like of the sheet are regulated so as to have a characteristic impedance with prescribed values. The widths of the ground layers are set so as to become sufficiently enough to the signal line.
