PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an internal liquid medicine formulated with an iron compound, which has a reduced astringent taste derived from an iron ion, is readily drinkable and leaves no unpleasant aftertaste. SOLUTION: This internal liquid medicine comprises a divalent iron ion and inositol. The internal liquid medicine formulated with the iron compound comprises further a carnitine. The internal liquid medicine formulated with the iron compound has pH 2.5-7.0. The thus prepared liquid composition is applicable, for example, to various preparations including a medicine and a quasi medicine such as a syrup, a health drink, and various beverages such as a health beverage.
