PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication robot assuring a higher safety and having a high affinity. SOLUTION: The communication robot 10 includes a skin 22 covering the whole body of a human body shaped part 20, wherein the skin 22 is formed by laminating foaming polyurethane and silicone rubber layer, and a plurality of piezoelectric sensor sheets are arranged dispersively in the skin. The pressure sensing voltages emitted from the piezoelectric sensor sheets are converted by an A/D convertor into the pressure value data and fed to a robot controlling computer as bit serial signals by a PIC microcomputer in the form of a daisy chain. The robot controlling computer measures the strength/weakness of the pressure, the lasting time of the pressure, and the frequency of the pressure change and allows the robot to execute the motions according to the measured parameter values.
