PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backing material set for a work such as a photograph which makes enable a person having not much experience to fix the photograph etc., simply and surely to a backing material in a specular condition, and a backing method using the set. SOLUTION: The backing material set is composed of the backing material 1 which has a paste layer on its whole one side and in which release paper 2 is set on the paste layer and an auxiliary release sheet 3 which is connected to the release paper 2 and laid on the release paper 2 to overlap each other while being turned over. Preferably, a press mount 4 mounted on a work 10 placed on the auxiliary release sheet 3 which is turned over and laid on the release paper 2 to overlap each other is included additionally.
