The present invention is a small vehicle lamp (100) comprised of: a generally cylindrically-shaped housing (110) with an axial bore therethrough and forming a top opening (111) and a bottom opening (111); a lens (120) disposed on the top surface (114) of the housing (110); a circuit board (130) within the axial bore of the housing (110); at least one LED (140) mounted on and electrically connected to the circuit board (130); a resistor (150) disposed on the circuit board (130); a first cable wire (162) and a second cable wire (164) passing through the bottom opening (112) of the housing (110) and in electrical contact with the circuit board (130); and an potting compound disposed within the housing bore, in which the epoxy covers the resistor (150) and circuit board (130) and at least partially covers the LED (140) and the cable wires (162, 164). The lamp (100) is configured such that it has a low profile and can be part of a system in which a plurality of the lamps are used on a vehicle.
