<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an electric fusion joint and its manufacturing method, which is capable of easily connecting a polyethylene multiple layer tube having a barrier layer of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer in the middle so as to obtain gasoline resistance, and which has gasoline resistance for the joint itself. <P>SOLUTION: This electric fusion joint 11 is provided with a heating wire 12 embedded in an inner-periphery surface of a joint body 13 formed out of polyethylene resin so as to respectively fuse and joint polyethylene resin on the outer-periphery surface at an end part of the multiple layer tube having the barrier layer 14 formed out of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer in the middle thereof and polyethylene resin on an inner-periphery surface of a receiving port of the electric fusion joint. A stopper 14 formed out of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer is projected at the inner periphery of the central part of the joint body so that the end part of the barrier layer may come into contact when the multiple layer tube is connected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
