<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid charging a load of user dictionary registration or input using single kanji conversion or katakana conversion. <P>SOLUTION: In this communication method for a communication network system wherein a portable terminal 101 having a word conversion function and a server 120 communicable with the portable terminal 101 are connected, the portable terminal 101 decides whether a word is unregistered word or not when word conversion is present, and transmits the word-converted word, reading kana of the word, and a user of the portable terminal 101 to the server when the word is the unregistered word as the result of the decision.
