<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an IC card equipped with a ten key. <P>SOLUTION: The IC card 1 is arranged nearby a portable telephone 100 as a reader and a personal identification number is inputted by operation of the ten key 4 of the IC card 1. When the personal identification number coincides with a personal identification number stored in the reader, by the operation of the ten key 4 of the IC card, a variety of operations such as inputting a caller's number of the portable telephone 100 are made possible.
