<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive image forming device capable of detecting a toner sticking amount and a toner charging quantity in a developing device with simple constitution and thereby forming an image with constant quality regardless of use environment and a use time. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus has a toner carrier 11 where a thin layer of toner is formed, a toner image carrier 1 to which toner moves from the toner carrier to form a toner image, a current detection part 16 which detects the value of a current flowing to the toner carrier by the movement of the toner from the toner carrier to the toner image carrier, a deposition amount determination part which determines the toner deposition amount based upon a plurality of current values detected by the current detection part, and a charging quantity determination part which determines the toner charging quantity based upon the toner deposition amount determined by the toner deposition amount determination part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
