PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save user labor or the like by quickly and accurately determining image quality in document computerization using a digital camera. SOLUTION: A control part 110 of a digital camera 100 calculates a hand shaking amount at the time of photographing on the basis of a detection value acquired from a sensor part 170 and compares the hand shaking amount with a preset determination reference value to thereby determine whether a document image to be acquired is illegible. The determination reference value is individually set in accordance with image usage application, and an outputting part 140 outputs notification information based on a determination result corresponding to the usage application. The control part 110 segments a character part from the acquired document image and specifies a character size on the image. The control part 110 performs comparison with the determination reference value performed in advance to thereby determine whether the document image is illegible. The determination reference value is individually set in accordance with the image usage application and an influence of lens performance, whether to be illegible is determined by taking into consideration the usage application and the lens performance and the outputting part 140 outputs notification information corresponding to a determination result.
