PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To early detect generation of continuous-ice in a unit cooler. SOLUTION: It is determined whether the unit cooler is in a normal operation state or not (S10). When in the normal operation state, a sucked air temperature T<SB>2</SB>detected by an air temperature sensor is acquired (S12), is compared with a classification setting temperature T<SB>0</SB>(S14), and is classified. When T<SB>2</SB><T<SB>0</SB>, a forecasted section temperature T<SB>1</SB>detected by a continuous-ice temperature sensor provided on a section where the continuous-ice is likely to be generated empirically (S16), and continuous-ice attachment is determined on the basis of T<SB>1</SB>, T<SB>2</SB>(S18). When not T<SB>2</SB><T<SB>0</SB>, the ice attachment is determined on the basis of T<SB>1</SB>(S20-S22). Also in a defrosting state, the continuous-ice attachment is determined on the basis of the T<SB>1</SB>(S24-S26). When the continuous-ice attachment is determined, an alarm is output (S28-S30).
