PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a data transfer system and a data transfer method which improve the data transfer efficiency of a system entirety in the system having a plurality of data transfer buses. SOLUTION: In an application 30, a command issue means 2 obtains a status confirmation information regarding the using state of a desired inquiry bus from a driver 31 through a states reading means 1, and recognizes whether an inquiry bus is busy or not. In the driver 31, a command reception notification means 4 returns the presence or absence of an error as a return value to the parameter of the command for data transfer received from the command issue means 2, and releases the application 30 from a busy stand-by state. When a data transfer completion notification means 10 receives a completion interruption from a device read/write means 8, a flag update process for setting the "erroneous end of the command" or "normal end of the command" status by the existence or absence of a transfer error is performed to a states holding means 12.
