PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle storage type equipment capable of determining whether or not a display device is required according to a situation even when it is determined that the operation is started, and selecting the posture of service or the posture of storage of the display device according to the determination. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle storage type equipment 10 comprises a display device 12 provided on a vehicular instrument panel 11 movably between the posture of service and the posture of storage, a driving device to move the display device, and a control device to control the operation of the driving device to control the posture of the display device 12. When an ignition switch contact is turned off, the display device 12 is stored in the posture of storage, and if the time of elapse after the ignition switch contact is turned off and then turned on next exceeds a predetermined value, the posture of storage of the display device 12 is maintained.
