PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile with a movable seat which ensures the low seat height, allows an occupant to easily get on/get off, and is constituted by modifying an existing regular car. SOLUTION: In the automobile 1 with the movable seat, a part of a rear seat is a movable seat 14, and the movable seat 14 is horizontally movable in the right-to-left direction between the fixed seat position inside the vehicle and the get-on/get-off position outside the automobile by a horizontal moving mechanism. The horizontal moving mechanism comprises a guide 4 fixed to supporting bodies 2 and 3 supported by a floor in the automobile, a moving body 9 which has a rail 5 supported by the guide 4 and is movable in the right-to-left direction, and locking means 10 and 12 to lock the moving body 9 between the fixed seat position inside the automobile and the get-on/get-off position outside the automobile.
