PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw for injection molding which enables homogeneous melting of a high fluidity resin and is extremely suitable for kneading, dispersion and color change of the filler for resin such as color masterbatch or talc. SOLUTION: In this screw for injection molding, a mixing head 12 is disposed at the tip of a screw body 11, and a backflow prevention device 40 and a screw head 13 are disposed at the tip of the mixing head 12. The outer peripheral face of the mixing head 12 has a plurality of rows of circle-like grooves 20 and a plurality of axial grooves 18 communicating adjacent circle-like grooves 20. Further, The axial grooves are so formed that the passing area of the resin which is cut in a direction orthogonal to an axis is gradually decreased from the screw body 11 side toward the side of the screw head 13.
