PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily secure accuracy while reducing a production cost in an oscillating mechanism enabling close coiling. SOLUTION: The oscillating mechanism 6 of a spinning reel is a device for reciprocally moving a spool in the front and rear direction by being interlocked with the rotation of a handle installed in a reel body of the spinning reel to which a rotor for guiding a fishline is attached so as to be freely rotatable. The oscillating mechanism 6 has a pinion gear 12, a stepped gear part 13, and a moving mechanism 17. The pinion gear 12 rotates synchronously with the rotation of the handle. The stepped gear part 13 has a large-diameter gear 19 meshed with a driving gear, and a small diameter gear 20 concentrically arranged with the large diameter gear 19 and integrally rotating with the large diameter gear 19. The moving mechanism 17 has a following gear 16 meshed with the small diameter gear 20, and reciprocally moves the spool by the rotation of the following gear 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
