PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishhook enabling a paste bait to be firmly and easily bound thereto and also enabling the bound state to be stably maintained in the air and underwater. SOLUTION: This fishhook 10 is such one as to be bent in a hooky manner with one end bindable to a fishline 2. The fishhook 10 has a projection 11 with predetermined thickness and length at a site apart a predetermined distance from and close to its point, and at the center of the projection 11, there is provided a through hole 12 penetrating a plane formed by the bent part of this fishhook 10. In this case, it is recommended that the through hole 12 be provided long in the same direction as that of extending the point, and a part 13 cut-curved toward the through hole 12 side may also be furnished in the vicinity of an intermediate part of the projection 11 in the direction of extending the point.
