It is intended to attain effective utilization of starchy materials among surplus farm products, to realize a technology for blending such starchy materials with a thermoplastic resin, and to provide a starch-blended resin composition that can contain starch in high proportion without detriment to the properties of thermoplastic resin. There is provided a starch-blended resin composition characterized by containing, as main raw materials, 5 to 95 pts.wt. of thermoplastic resin (X), 95 to 5 pts.wt. of starchy material (Y) and, per 100 pts.wt. of the sum of components (X) and (Y), 0.2 to 20 pts.wt. of compatibilizer (Z) capable of enhancing the affinity at the interface of the thermoplastic resin (X) and the starchy material (Y).
