The tube connector for the interconnecting of two tube ends (71,72) comprises two separate clamping jaws (31,32) which are largely the same in form, part cylindrical, and in cross section approximately semi-circular. The jaws together form two tube holders (33,34) between which is left an axially extending slot (37), while a diametral screw (38,39) radially holds the clamping jaws together with a clearance. By means of at least two further diametral screws (49,50) the jaws are pressed apart, and at the same time pressed radially onto the tube ends encompassing them.
