The invention relates to a closing element (1) for polygonal tubes guiding compressed air, the end of said closing element being inserted into the polygonal tube (8) in a sealed manner. The inventive closing element comprises an elastic sealing element (3) and is embodied in such a way that, when inserted, it acts on the sealing element (3) such that the sealing element seals and fixes the closing element (1) in relation to the polygonal tube (8). Such closing elements are used to seal carrier arms in spinning frames comprising pneumatically loaded upper roll carrier arms and weighting arms.
