Expanded plastics containers

A thermally insulated cup is produced by affixing a label 7 of paper or plastics sheet material about the external surface of the sidewall 4 of an expanded plastics cup body 2 subsequently to moulding of the body. The label extends from the bottom 3 of the cup body to at or adjacent a rim 6 about the mouth 5 of the cup and is adhered to the body either in the form of a preformed frustoconical sleeve which is slid onto the cup body or, alternatively, as a blank which is snugly wrapped about the sidewall to form the label.
