The multi-disc brake for a vehicle's transmission has torsionally fixed but axially movable inner and outer (1) discs connected to a first and a second component respectively. At least one torsionally fixed but axially movable connection consists of at least one radially outwards pointing tongue (2) of a disc which has approximately parallel flanks (3,4) and which engages in at least one recess in the housing component. The recess has walls which are formed so that the flanks lie upon the walls of the recess with practically no play.
