Since the flange part (4) is formed leaving a projected pipe end part (2) at the tip of the flange part (4), a flit glass (6) with a height between the surface of the panel (11) of the flat display tube and the end face of the glass tube (on the outer peripheral surface of the pipe end part) can be put on the surface of the panel (11) of the flat display tube, and the glass tube (1) can be stably stuck on the surface of the panel (11) of the flat display tube.
