PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam molding method and an apparatus capable of enhancing injection of gas, in obtaining a resin molded article by injecting gas in a molten resin material to foam the resin material. SOLUTION: A chip like or palletized resin material is put in a pretreatment apparatus to be subjected to evacuation and dehumidification drying treatment and substitution treatment with inert gas and, thereafter, the treated resin material is held for a proper time in the inert gas having proper temperature and pressure in an inert gas penetration apparatus and, after temperature and pressure are lowered, the resin material is sent to a material hopper controlled in temperature and pressure and subsequently sent to a plasticizing apparatus having a gas supply port in the vicinity of its metering part and receiving the supply of gas having proper temperature and pressure to be melted therein and, thereafter, the molten resin material is injected in a mold, from which air is preliminarily removed and which is held to a pressure not higher than the atmospheric pressure, to be cooled for a predetermined time and, after the pressure in the mold is returned to the atmospheric pressure, the mold is opened to take out the foamed molded article. |
