<p>From the end sections (7) of the cross bearer (1) to the torsion section (6) are transition sections continually altering in cross-section. The cross bearer in the transition sections has an inner partial foam formation, comprising a multi-component plastic foam. Alternatively, the foam can be of the metal type, particularly an aluminium or steel foam. In the foam reinforcing fibres are embedded. The foam prevents corrosion. Where a plastic foam is involved, this can be epoxide, polypropylene or polyurethane foam. The two longitudinal sections (2,3) joined by the cross bearer (1) have in the connecting area an accommodation (5) matched to the cross-sectional configuration of the ends of the cross bearer (1).</p> |
