The kite comprises a kite body formed from sheet material blank 10, the body having longitudinal and transverse axes (11 fig. 1A-1C), , leading and trailing ends (13, 14, fig. 1A-1C) ; kite wings 16 formed with an integral keel section 15 formed by folding sheet material; fastening means 20 fixed to the kite body along the transverse axis thereof, to provide structural support; a kite thread 17 secured to keel section, and an elongate tail 18 secured to the trailing end of the kite. Also disclosed is a method for making a kite, and a paper kite.
