A gearing switch device includes a switch assembly (4, fig 1) that is switched to one of a number of positions to engage one of the gears (51, 52, fig 1) in an idle gear set (5, fig 1) with an input gear 1 and a transferring gear 34 of a speed reduction device 3. The transferring gear 34 drives a ring gear 33 that is engaged with a planetary gear device connected to one side of a disk (31, fig 1) and an output gear (31a, fig 1) is connected to the other side of the disk (31, fig 1). Different types of engagement between the gears (51, 52, fig 1) of the idle gear set (5, fig 1) and the transferring gear 34 change, the speed of the disk (31, fig 1) to a desired output torque. The switch device is suitable for use in a drill. |
