FIELD: pipeline transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises winding belt made of fiber filler provided with a binder on the ends of pipes to be joined, radial compressing by means of air-tight dies, and polymerizing the belt. After compressing, the belt may be heated. The fiber material may be wound together with the grid made of a conducting material. After winding, the grid is energized for heating the belt throughout the bulk. The fiber filler may be made of fiber glass fabric. Before winding the belt, the ends of the pipes may be provided with the belt made of a flexible sealing material. The device comprises perforated dies which are mounted coaxially with respect to the ends of the pipes to be joined on the belt and are tightened by means of bolts or power cylinders to provide radial pressure. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability. ^ 13 cl, 14 dwg |
