The cylinder has a shell (10) with a longitudinal part (12), two coaxial cylindrical parts (14, 16) and a reinforcement unit having a rigid connecting rod (32) mounted in the longitudinal part. The rod is embedded in a portion of a wall opposite to cylindrical parts in such a way that the reinforcement unit acts in a completely symmetrical manner with respect to the cylinder, when forces are exerted on it, during a break-in attempt.
