The invention relates to a flexible wrapper for a fresh bakery product (2) which comprises a holding part (1) in the form of a band covered with opaque paper and a transparent transpiration part (3) with a microperforated area (4) and an impermeable band (6) adjacent to said holding band (1). The transpiration part (3) comprises means of initiating tearing (7) and has a preferential tearing direction substantially parallell to said holding part (1). To open the wrapper, the consumer tears the transpiration part (3) according to said prefential tearing direction, holding the bakery product (2) by means of said holding part (1) which serves as napkin. The invention alsorelates to a process for making said wrapper and a use for enveloping a ring-shaped product.
