PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electroluminescent device manufactured in a simple process and having improved light emitting efficiency. SOLUTION: In this polymer electroluminescent device, since a polymer insulating nanolayer having dielectric constant of less than 3.0 is provided between a light emitting layer and a metallic electrode, or a cathode, band bending of the light emitting layer is reduced, and electron injection from the electrode to the light emitting layer is increased. The increased electron injection emits light with high brightness and high efficiency by enhancing the probability that electrons meet positive holes in the light emitting layer. Therefore, this polymer electroluminescent device has further improved luminance intensity and efficiency. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
