PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an organic material from penetrating between a substrate and a deposition mask in a method for manufacturing a multiple-luminescent-layer planer-arrangement display panel. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the organic EL panel, a plurality of luminescent layers are selectively deposited for each luminescent color by using the deposition mask 100 having an opening corresponding to the luminescent layer of the luminescent color. In the deposition mask 100, a first mask 110 with an opening 111 having an outline shape corresponding to a display region of the panel, and a second mask 120 with an opening 121 for selectively coating the luminescent layers on a region larger than the opening 111 of the first mask 110, are laminated so that the openings 111, 121 overlap with each other.
