PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data management system that can save graphic data correctly in a data storage location corresponding to a drawing number set for the graphic data. SOLUTION: A storage device 2 stores definition information for deciding from information on a drawing number a data storage location with a path name including the drawing number in a part. According to information on a drawing number input from an input device 6 and the definition information, a registration part 13 decides data storage locations 3-1 to 3-m on a storage device 3 where a file of drawing data 41 with a path name input from the input device 6 is to be registered, and copies the file of the drawing data 41 in the decided data storage location. A drawing number matching part 12 matches the drawing number included in the path name of the data storage location decided by the registration part 13 against drawing number information 411 acquired from the copy source drawing data, and if they do not match, stops the copying.
