PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve how movement on a display is viewed. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display (LCD) having a plurality of LCD pixels is so constituted that an initial pixel value of a selected LCD pixel is modeled as a secondary dynamical system represented as a secondary differential equation (mx"+kx'+x=p). Here, (x), (x'), and (p) represent LCD pixel intensity, an LCD pixel speed, and an given LCD pixel command and (m) and (k) represent LCD pixel mass and a related pixel damping rate respectively. When the selected LCD pixel has an initial LCD pixel intensity value x<SB>0</SB>and a related pixel speed valueν<SB>0</SB>, LCD pixel response of the selected LCD pixel under the influence of the given command (p) is calculated based upon the secondary differential equation.
