PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for controlling ignition timing by which shifting of the ignition timing by an ignition means 26 associated with change of engine rotation speed or the like can be executed while restraining from becoming conspicious a problem such as increase in NOx and occurrence of accidental fire in an engine 100 equipped with an ignition timing control means 30 which is configured to perform the multi-point ignition of air-fuel mixture formed in a combustion chamber 2 by a plurality of ignition means 26 and which controls the ignition timing of a plurality of ignition means 26. SOLUTION: When a ignition timing control means 30 shifts the ignition timing of a plurality of ignition means 26, the ignition timing of a first ignition means 26a which is one part of a plurality of ignition means 26 is shifted. After determining that the engine rotation speed is stabilized, then, the ignition timing of a second ignition means 26b which is the other part of a plurality of ignition means 26 is shifted.
