PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy sheet for can body excellent in secondary workability of can wall by which a can-wall thickness equal to that of the conventional beverage can can be maintained and the occurrence of cracks and wrinkles can be prevented even if secondary working, such as embossing, is applied to the can wall after DI working and bake hardening treatment, and further, the necessity of troublesome regulation of manufacturing conditions in manufacturing can be obviated. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy sheet has a composition which consists of 1.0 to 2.5% Mg, 0.5 to 1.0% Mn, 0.25 to 0.45% Si, 0.20 to 0.50% Fe and the balance Al with impurities and in which a ratio between Mg content and Mn content, (Mg content %)/(Mn content %), ranges from 1.0 to 5.0. With respect to a can-wall part of 0.08 to 0.14 mm thickness after the aluminum alloy sheet is subjected to DI working into a can body and then to bake hardening treatment, tensile properties using JIS 13 B test pieces in a circumferential direction of the can are: 280 to 330 MPa tensile strength; 260 to 300 MPa 0.2% proof stress; and 3 to 8% fracture elongation. Further, with respect to the above can-wall part, the critical number of cycles to fracture by 90°repeated bending at 1.0 mm bent radius is≥6 cycles. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
