PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for suppressing fluttering of a steel sheet in which molten metal is less liable to deposite and floating dross is easily removed. SOLUTION: In the device 10 for suppressing fluttering of a steel sheet 12 in which straightening vanes 23 and 24 are arranged parallel to a steel sheet surface on one side or both sides of the steel sheet 12 below a plating bath surface 22 between a sink roll 16 immersed in a plating bath 15 in a hot dip plating tank 14 and gas wiping nozzles 18 and 19 installed above the plating tank 14 when performing the continuous hot dip metal plating, and the mean flow velocity of the flow accompanied by the steel sheet between the steel sheet 12 and the straightening vanes 23 and 24 is decreased, and the static pressure is increased, the straightening vanes 23 and 24 are formed of a plate with ceramic fiber wound around the surface thereof, or a ceramic fiber formed product itself.
