The invention relates to the procedure of production of grease. A method for production of grease for wire drawing provides for use of soap. In accordance with the invention, the soap is obtained as the product of hydrolysis of animal fats to the fatty acids, that are saponified by caustic soda with addition of slaked lime and mono-phosphate of zinc. The invention ensures improvement of the quality of grease.
