<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a period of time required for output of the first recording material after indication of image forming processing by using a roll-type recording paper to have its merits. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 100, one or several cut papers to be outputted first are not supplied from a roll R but are carried from a cut paper storage tray 32 to an image forming unit 10 to start an image forming job. The image forming apparatus 100 prepares for supply of cut papers from the roll R simultaneously with the job start and stops supply from the cut paper storage tray 32 in response to completion of preparations, and hereafter, the image forming job is executed by using cut papers cut out from the roll R. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
