PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line buffered type image progressing device which enables displaying of straight lines having width. SOLUTION: A straight line drawing block RB reads attribute data specified on a straight line attribute table 15b, with respect to each displayed straight line. It calculates the drawing area of the direction perpendicular to the straight line, based on the start point coordinate, end-point coordinate and the linewidth of the straight line; and drawing the straight line is stopped, when a scanning line for drawing is out of range for drawing. When the scanning line is within the range of drawing, the coordinates of the intersection of the scanning line, the left side line and right side line of the straight line is calculated, and a drawing dot is decided, based on the calculated coordinate value.
