SIMPLE METHOD FOR DETECTING GENETIC POLYMORPHISM OF ALCOHOL DEHYDROGENASE, AND REAGENT FOR DETECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for clearly detecting a genetic polymorphism of an alcohol dehydrogenase in good repeatability; and to provide a reagent therefor.

SOLUTION: The method for detecting the genetic polymorphism of the alcohol dehydrogenase involves carrying out the amplification by using at least one primer hybridizable with a sequence of continuous 15 bases or a base sequence complementary to the sequence in specific sequences specifically hybridizable with an alcohol hydrogenase gene in the method for detecting the sequence of a varied position of the alcohol dehydrogenase gene.
