<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve and provide an optimum route from an entrance of a station according to individual condition to a get-on vehicle position. <P>SOLUTION: This optimum route retrieving apparatus 1 comprises a retrieving section 3 for retrieving the optimum route and a data section 4 having data used for retrieving the optimum route. The data section 4 comprises a timetable data 4a, a congestion degree data 4b, a yard position data 4c related to a yard facility expressed by 3-dimensional position vector, for example, and a map data 4d. An input/output device 2 is disposed in each entrance of the station, commands a retrieval condition including a start station of which route is desired to be retrieved, an entrance of the start station, a start time, a get-on route, and a get-on/off priority order, and commands the retrieval. The input/output device 2 outputs the result retrieved by the optimum route retrieving apparatus 1.
